Mornings are nice

Good Morning guys
I just wanted to make sure you had a chance to check out the video from the last two days. Great weather, clean conditions, fun combo swell on tap, and plenty of talent to go along with the Vans Pier Classic, make these vids must-sees. Thanks for watching everyone. I really appreciate it.

Paintball tournament starts April 1, first day of spring passed a while back, Lakers have 11 more games before the playoffs; summer is fast approaching.

Some great waves out there this morning. I hope you were able to get out there during the rain intermission. Barrels for breakfast when the low-tide comes to the dawn patrol session. The special video is still waiting for the "go-ahead" from he higher ups. Hang in there.

Funky Friday

A major earthquake hit Japan this morning, followed by a devastating tsunami on her east coast. Officials have issused warnings for the Western United States as well as Hawaii, who already saw minor effects from the waves traveling hundreds of miles across the Pacific. Down in Huntington Beach this morning, the coastal high school league has been postponed, and many anxious people are looking at the closed beach in disbelief. The tsunami watch alert is active from 8AM to 10AM, and during that time no one is allowed down on the beach. Lifeguards and HB police trucks are busy down on the sand, warning people and requesting that they leave the area. Not a single surfer made it into the line-up this morning, despite speculation that the tsunami wave will be minimal. Even the pier is locked up tight, the big iron gates and standing guards resembling something of a prison to us surfers.






A video should be posted later today, once the craziness ceases.

HB Dawn Patrol - March 10 .2011

It was looking good out there this morning. The tide is finally working with us a little bit, but it looks like the weather wont be cooperating too much longer. No more sunny 75 degrees this weekend, but I guess when you are at the beach you can find other ways to entertain yourself. Ten minute video today; I put a lot of time into it, I think it's worth a look. Lots of fun waves today. See you soon.

Still sloppy today, but at least there was some swell out there, along with a lot of current. Lets hope the middle of the week starts to shape up.
